War and child health event: Paediatrics in the North Global Health Society

Our next event Thursday 26th April will tackle the issue of child health and healthcare during conflict. We’ll hear from Chris Harkensee on his work with a Syrian refugee organisation, Amany Tadrous on ‘Medical missions in South Sudan’, plus a quick update from Stephen Owens on his trip to Bangladesh with an emergency medical team.

 

Venue is the women and children’s seminar room at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough. If you enter through the maternity unit there’ll be signs directing you. Refreshments from 6, talks 6.30-8pm.

 

Please reply to let us know if you’re coming so we have enough refreshments! It’s free for PiNGHS members and students, £10 for anyone else. Please distribute the details/poster far and wide!
